Amuseables Pink Orchid is an insatiable reader. She tried to join the neighbourhood book club, founded by Blushkin Blossom Luxe Bunny, but quickly realised she never had much to add to the discussions.

It's not the characters or the plot twists that motivate her desire to read. For her, it's the simple pleasure of reading: the weight of a paperback on her lap, the smell of bindings and shelves filled with books. That's what keeps her turning the pages, again and again.

Her favourite place to read right now? Cecile Chicken's antique bookshop. She's found the ideal refuge there: a small nook tucked under the second-floor staircase, where she settles in every other afternoon with a cushion and a thermos of tea.
