Read the words in your hand carefully. Match similar word parts to get rid of your cards first and become a reading ace!
Reading Ace 1 is designed to help children ages 5½ to 8½ read words that are more difficult to decode. The three decks it includes address three challenges: reading frequent letter groups (e.g., in, an), letters that are often decoded in the wrong order (e.g., al pronounced la), and two consonants in a row (e.g., br).
Adapted from the very popular “Jeux de l'As” collection, known and recognized by teachers, special education teachers and speech therapists in the French-speaking school network and for which more than 100,000 copies have been sold, As de la lecture is a simple card game designed specifically for the home.
Each box offers three decks of cards, each targeting a different educational objective. All decks are played with the same game mechanic, namely a "draw in the lake". Rigorously designed to follow the reading level of the young reader, the games are mainly designed for first-year elementary school students, as well as those starting second grade.
